Yum – this place makes pretty nice shaved ice aka bingsoo. Got the mango and taro flavour. The mango one was pretty tasty – light mango-y taste and wasnt too icy in texture. The taro one had a really distinct taro taste to it throughout. They also have fruit loops and corn flakes at the bottom – it actually worked surprisingly well! We also got one of their drinks – this was quite interesting. It was like a mix of lemonade with yakult. Overall was definitely something different, a little more pricer than Meet Fresh versions though. Ambience was pleasant as well – it would be a good place to hang out with a group. Service was pretty friendly as well.
Nice little cafe next to the Kanzi clothing store. Cafe has sufficient service. They also sell your assorted patisseries with coffee. We ordered the melon bingsu which was just enough for two. The honey dew flavour was rich and sweet, but not overly sweet. It had a surprise cereal mixture at the bottom. So many amazing other flavours that I will defiantly be back for.
We came here after hype over its wide selection of shaved ice options however we were met with a little bit of disappointment. We ordered the berry shaved ice and found that it was way too overly sweet, with the berries being covered in a syrup that made is inedible for us, we also werent big fans of whipped cream so it was a bit of a let down for us. The shaved ice was also quite dense and not at ice at all. It may just be that we chose the wrong option that day as they have a very large range of flavours and so are definitely willing to try others.
Good portion to share and good price too at $15.80 for the regular size. They had a variety of toppings that came including ice cream, mochi, cereal (fruit loops?), pomegranate and fresh mango. The ice was not too icy and was really soft but I do wish they had a bit more fresh mango.
+3 standard points for food+1 crispy sweet glaze on the taiyaki-1 uncooked croissant pastry in the centreNoise level: quietWe had the custard, green tea and curry taiyaki. The green tea flavour was hard to find. The consistency of the custard filling was chunky instead of smooth, like it was mixed up from a powder. The undercooked pastry was also underwhelming. The sugar coating was the highlight, making it crunchy and emphasising the buttery pastry. Must try the binsu next time, but I wouldnt order the taiyaki again.
