This is one of the many food outlets in Darling Square. The chicken gua bao was really good. For sides, the cheeseburger spring roll and fries were pretty good too. Service was friendly and fast so it would be a great place for a quick takeaway lunch or dinner.

Used a groupon for this magnificent feed. The unique thing was the cheeseburger spring roll, which tasted exactly as described. Service and location was great!

Actually really enjoyed this stall to return and try the pork buns. Really nice sweet potato fries, I enjoyed how freshly made and tasty the meals were. The Groupon deal was pretty good for an introduction to the style of the booth.

Located in the Makers Dozen, a collection of premium takeaway food outlets in the ground floor food hall at The Exchange in Darling Square Haymarket, you’ll find succulent steamed buns plus chicken wings, cheeseburger spring rolls and sweet potato fries at Mr Bao. Gua bao fillings we tried included karaage chicken and crackling pork belly, supplemented by a steamed pork bun and sweet potato fries. Although seemingly small, the bao are served with generous portions of meat – the Karaage chicken was my favourite although the crunchy pork belly crackling was excellent too. Unfortunately, the BBQ pork bun was soggy and the sweet potato fries lacked crunch and flavour. However, would return for the gua bao.
