So there’s a bit of a wait no matter what day you go on but Mr Chen is completely worth it! Putting aside their famous 30c dumplings which are delicious, the hole in the wall restaurant offers a variety of noodle and Chinese dishes, almost all of which are incredibly affordable with large portion sizes.The Lanzhou beef noodles I tried was probably the best I’d ever had, the broth was hearty and the flavour actually penetrated the noodles unlike some others I’ve had. While the pan fried vegie dumplings were incredibly delicious, the star of the show was the shallot pancake which was super crispy savoury and absolutely amazing with the chilli oil.But regardless of how cheap the dishes were, each plate at Mr Chen stood out as incredibly delicious and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
