This olace has a lot of potential, good location, great (and huge) selection of beers, but I think the decor and feel of the place needs improvement. My salad was surprisingly good as I was sort of expecting a below average feed, due to the look of the place. Hope management will do something about it.
It’s a shame, it has so much going for it; the ambiance, great location, selection of beer. Every thing goes out the window when you experience the service. We booked our work Xmas party there and when we got there , even though we had the booking reference they didn’t have our booking. 15 people standing around waiting for them to scramble. We were moved 3 times before we sat down. It’s not just the service, the whole administration is poor.
The Pumphouse has a pretty solid selection of craft beers, and currently has their own brew on offer. However their level of service is pretty subpar – when we first approached the bar we were told our order would be taken at our table. When we eventually flagged a waiter down, we were then directed back to the bar to place our order. The pizza we ordered was served barely warm and although the pepperoni, cheese and base did have some nice flavours, it wasn’t anything special. If we were to go back it would be after eating elsewhere and we would just order from their drinks menu. eatventures.net
I actually enjoyed the salmon dish which I ordered here. It came with achick pea puree & was well plated & fresh. The service was good & the food came out promptly
The ambience is great but the biggest disappointment was their offerings. Of course you get a lot of beer offerings but if this place were to brew their own beers, it would be on a roll. The sides and accompaniments were satisfactory.
We bought scoopon vouchers and all of the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the beef ribs kimchi and even ordered for a second one. Overall, staffs and place was really.nice. Bit pricey and would actually pay for the real price for what was served. Quantity is alright
If you are after soggy chips, badly cooked burgers, steaks or fish that’s all over priced then this is the place for you. Out of our table of 10 no one enjoyed their meals
