I’ve visited this restaurant on multiple occasions. There is plenty of korean food options. In particular, I found the meat dishes quite fresh. Staff are friendly and attentive. I particularly enjoy the range of side dishes and the grill plate that comes with cheesy corn and egg. Would definitely recommend this place for catch up with friends.
The Korean food here is standard but packs a hefty cost. The last time I came here was ages ago before they renovated the restaurant. Im pretty disappointed as it seems like theyve gotten really stingy with their servings. The only thing they are generous with are the number of side dishes they give you. Too bad most of them are very strange – you need an acquired taste to eat most of them.We got a few meat options for bbq: brisket and pork intestine. Both were pretty pricey for the amount we got. I also ordered a kimchi hotpot. This didnt have much in it, I was also hoping it to be spicy but just tasted sour and salty from the kimchi. My partner also wanted their cheese deep fried chicken… worst mistake! I would highly recommend against this one! It doesnt even have a cheese taste to it despite the name. The apparent cheese powder sprinkled on top has this super strange sweetness to it – like a really bad chip flavour. It did not taste right and was really hard to eat. We ended up barely touching it. Overall, would not recommend coming to this joint. Servings are so small for the price you pay – theres plenty of other Korean restaurants which are more bang for your buck and super tasty. Service was pretty bad too. The waitress would come over and slam our food on the table and walk away. Super ignorant, its obvious customer service is not on their radar.
I think their food is nice but definitely not value for money. However there are plenty of free side dishes. The beef bbq quite nice but too expensive for the serving. Other a la carte menu was pretty good. Overall, it was good experience.
I’m very impressed with my recent experience at Seoul-Ria. The staff were very accommodating in comparison to other Korean restaurants, they assisted with using the grill, regularly replacing it and aiding in cut the meat and checking up if were cooking the meat properly. Unlike other restaurants that would leave you unassisted throughout your whole dining experience, without changing your grill. However, a more enjoyable experience can be created by replacing the side dishes and water bottles without having to ask. For our group of 8, we spent around $500 altogether including drinks which is quite expensive. The menu is great, with lots of options to choose from. I was very surprised that there was a vegetarian section, as I struggle to find any non-meat options at most Korean restaurants. I would return to try the hotpot, pancake, and japchae. The meat combos are very convenient if you can’t decide on the cut of meat you prefer or have no preference. These are very pricey, but in comparison to buying individual plates, I would guess that it is more cost-effective considering weight and quality? In addition, the location is very convenient, a short walk from Town Hall Station, and surrounded by plenty of dessert options.
