My sister took me here for a casual lunch. I had a garlic prawn and noodle dish that was so delicious I still remember it a couple of weeks later. This is not about service or atmosphere, just really great food.

We used to frequent this place twice/thrice a week since the refurb, recommended to friends and family and brought lots of people with us but, after a few months the service and food started to flag. Still we kept coming because 85% of the time the meal was really good. Service kept deteriorating- orders missed, drinks forgotten, food not cooked well etc.Staff are run off their feet and only a couple are friendly. The head chef makes a good meal but the other cooks barely reach average. Overcooked steaks, stodgy boscaiola with no flavour and burnt pizza. The best on the menu is the tuna carpaccio because it has the best dressing. Often the specials – which run for a period of time – are sold out so the menu becomes boring and unless the head chef is in one can’t order a ‘special’ meal. It’s a really noisy place and hard to get the bar staff to understand an order – how hard is a bottle of wine to get right? Last visit involved a confrontation with a very aggressive and abusive bouncer because we didn’t want to use the handicapped parking spot in case someone with less mobility than us needed it and because we didn’t have a VIP pass he wouldn’t allow us to park in a free spot or into the restaurant to ask the manager to OK where we wanted to park. We refuse to step into the place and have spread the word of the place’s decline and now frequent other local restaurants that are better priced and much more consistent in quality and service.

This has become a family favourite. It’s local has a great menu and the blackboard specials always exciting. The service is warm and friendly. The food is always fresh, served hot and yummy. The only thing to fault is the wine list. Very sub- standard selection and over priced, but not the restaurants fault.Would be good to keep some pub classics on menu – fish & chips, steaks and Parma, for those who dont want restaurant quality food. Seafood hot pot is sensational as are the pasta dishes, but it’s hard to pick just one favourite.I recommend this place for a great casual dinner.

The Pizzas here are awesome, made proper Italian style. The rest of the menu is pretty authentic too, home made lasgna, great seafood pastas, and meat dishes too. The chefs all seem to be Italian, that’s what they were all speaking so no wonder it tasted great! loved it.

The food is average, quite plain and boring (mushroom risotto and penne arrabiata). The first time we went they had forgotten our booking and we were unable to find a seat that was not in the sun or under freezing air conditioning. However, the staff were very helpful with it, it was simply bad positioning of the tables and lack of blinds on the windows. A beautiful setting though. Just an average place with a few flaws.

We ordered 3 pizzas and we asked a favor to do 1 pizza with half without topping but the waitress did not even bother to check with the kitchen and kept saying they were too busy so unfortunately they couldn’t do any favor. A bit disappointed with the level of service plus we had to ask drink. Lastly, we ordered one kid menu, which was chicken schnitzel with chips that came burned and supposed to come with the gelato ice cream but we have never got it just because they are too busy. When we made a complaint, they did not seems to care and gave us no response.

I went to fillipo’s with my partner and two friends to take part in the Monday night 2 for 1 pizza and pasta deal they were advertising across there website. We got two pizza and two pastas and these were reasonable nice and reasonable quick to arrive. However when it came time to pay the staff did not know about this deal, so we showed them where is was on there website. Initially it sounds like a quick fix however after 20mins of waiting and a bit of arguing they eventually honoured the half price. WARNING – don’t go for the two for one pizza and pasta.
