The courtyard is the main food outlet at the RSL which has a pretty good range of food to choose from. It is a Bistro so you line up and you get given a buzzer for when your food is ready. Depending on the time you go it can be quite busy and can take a little while to get your food unless you’re going to the show. They have a sign just before the register which tell you how long to wait could possibly be but during that time you could be getting a drink at the bar and or a table. The food ranges from classic pub food, pizza, steaks and or Asian noodle which is what i had this visit. The price was quite reasonable.
As a lover of going out, to have a nice dinner, or a relaxing evening. The Courtyard is not the place to go. It is located in the Hornsby RSL with so many crowded pupils you would be lucky to even get a table or two. As only attending once on a Friday night I had clearly been on the busiest day, which lead to kids screaming and so many people talking, I couldn’t even hear myself think. As we finally got a table the service was pretty good and cleaned the mess due to other families. After that we chose are orders which was a BBQ Duck Dumplings (5 pic) Onion Rings, Grilled Salmon and a Classic Burger. Now because of the large population I was thinking that the food would probably take 30-40 minutes, but I was wrong, it only took about ten minutes, which was pretty good considering how many people were there. I will start of with the Onion rings, were crunchy and golden with a lovely aioli sauce to add. The Salmon was sadly slightly overcooked but the skin was nice and crispy with rock salt all over the Salmon. The Burger was average, so I can’t really complain. And the Duck Dumplings were, I guess okay but to actual consistency was really sticky. All together(Not including) Drinks was 50$ which was pretty cheap.11 YEAR OLD FOOD CRTIC
