Seeing there wasn’t a sweet breakfast option (except for the chia bowl & fruit toasts) I resorted to a trusty benedict. Their version is with bacon & potato rosti instead of toast, so very hearty. Egg was just right oozy. A good variation to the normal benedict. The juice was refreshing & light. Good brunch.
The stain is a busy cafe in Hunters Hill with indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe has a modern feel, the walls are exposed brick and they have some nice artwork hanging which is for sale. The staff are friendly and the service efficient. There was some latin music playing. The coffee they serve is Toby’s estate, which I do enjoy. Foodwise there are a number of small cakes and pastries to choose from. The breakfast menu was a little pricey, but the food is good. I went for the Stain big breakfast which was reasonably priced and was perfectly prepared. It came with two nicely poached eggs, plenty of bacon, a sausage, a big juicy mushroom and some balsamic roasted tomato. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
