Checked out breakfast at Sub’On early morning and had the whole restaurant to choose our seating. We were shown the outdoor area which is quite nice overlooking the street (the restaurant is located upstairs – first floor). Love the signage. We had the corn and pumpkin fritters with smoked salmon and the Big breakfast. Both were ok, the fritters with smoked salmon got a bit salty towards the end. The hostess is extremely and cheerful so pleasant to be served by her! Will be back to try the dinner menu as it is very popular from what I was told. theengineereats.com
We love the food and atmosphere, as well as the friendly staff. We nearly didn’t try Sub on because it was kind of hard to tell what kind of restaurant it was, the sign is a little ambiguous, however we are very glad we did. We will be back!!
Came with a group of friends. Good food and friendly service, reasonably priced. Presentations is brilliant, will definitely return. Menu is a bit small but most dishes were good.
Georgeous Smart Surprise. What a fabulous local restaurant for the Hunters Hill area. Outstanding food and service, we were delighted with scallops, arancini, steak, lamb, pasta, fish and two delicious desserts. Coffee was terrific too. We asked for a quiet table and sat round the corner. Perfect for our table of 4. BYO a great option and we will definately visit again. Brilliant local at the right price. Jacquie
We found Sub’ On to be a really enjoyable. Currently it isn’t know but i’m glad the found was faultless, the service great and friendly. they are currently waiting on their liquor licence but with a bottle shop down stairs that was easy to rectify with BYO. the Arancini Balls worth trying as was the pork belly and mains the pasta and chicken where excellent. the only issue was that they only had 2 table for the night so weren’t busy, would we go again absolutely
Wow this place is amazing! Anyone who loves quality food needs to come here.We ordered the pork belly and zucchini fries as our entrees, both of which were amazing. The pork belly literally melted in our mouths while the zucchini fries had a very crunchy batter and bite to it. As our mains, we got a steak with tomato butter and spaghetti bolognese. I would have the say the spaghetti and pasta was ‘out of this world’, the biggest difference is that they use fresh pasta which makes the dish so much tastier and flavourful. The steak on the other hand was mind blowing, the tomato butter just dissolve over the steak providing a very flavourful punch.We’ll definitely be coming back to this place!
We came here for a dinner with friends, and we were surprised at how good the foods were. We ordered a couple entree menu (antipasto and pizza) to share, and main dishes for individuals. I must say that the stand outs were definitely the pasta dishes and the lamb.The other factors that I loved were ‘easy access car park’, ‘balcony dining area’ and also the friendly staff.I might have to try the breakfast there sooner or later. 🙂
