Diamond Cafe is a great place to enjoy everyday Taiwanese cuisine, drinks, and desserts. Got a value rice meal with Taiwanese crispy style chicken and plentiful amount of mix salad and vegetables. The chicken is the best, as I can immediately tell the difference in comparison to the same chicken from Cho Express. Veggies are basic, but green is good for our body, so I’m glad to see them nicely assorted inside little trays. I also ordered braised pork knuckle which has been simmered in soy sauce. Just so tender. With any main meal, you can purchase bubble tea/ jasmine tea for only $3.80. Took two people to share the huge glass of milky foam bubble tea. It is a delicious drink with balance sweetness. This cafe seems to have a vast potential of catering a lot more affordable and delicious food, and I am eager to try them in my future visits.
Favourite Taiwanese shop forever! Everything from the menu is recommended. Been here few hundred times already, and never got bored of the menu as there were lots of different selections!
Ordered the Taiwanese style beef and brisket noodle, the broth was bitter from excessive star aniseed, meat was old tough and stringy. Definitely not Taiwanese style – but the broth may be good for people with cold and flu. Ham and egg sandwich looked dry and was more dry than my now passed grandmother. Rice with mince (large) served in bent box had three sections of veg stir fried with veg… Highly unattractive taste very average… Only thing commendable is the Iced pearl tea which was creamy and not too sweet… Very average meh… Will continue to search…
Overall this cafe wasn’t the best. When I arrived there was no tables available (because there were only eight small cramped tables)the music was driving me crazy and disturbing. What I got made me really sad.It looked nothing like the photo it had on the menu. The presentation was very very poor.It looked like they just chucked it in the bowl, and if you notice the last photo had a broken bowl which again doesn’t make me happy. This place needs a lot of improvement. The service wasn’t the best.I remember the first time I went here there was a dead bug again disturbing!! The only thing I liked was the shaved ice.I guess the quality was great the texture was very smooth but it tasted artificial.
Very cramped place to dine, only had 8 tiny tables. We waited outside for a while. We had the Milk Pudding but it’s very unappetising, it’s just basically pearls and random puddings dumped in condensed milk. However the Shaved Ice was magnificent and definitely worth it. The waiter/cashier was walking outside instead of tending the shop. The music was driving me crazy and I couldn’t find napkins because the entire shop is so cramped that I didn’t know where to pay the cash. The place was also very dirty, the bowls were wet and tables and walls were scattered with dirty things… Not sure about the hot food but if you really want to come here for desserts only buy the Shaved Ice and not the Puddings!
Great selection of authentic Taiwanese food. Great deals as well. However keep in mind that this place is cash only. I had the meat dumpling, pork spare ribs in herbal soup, assorted appetisers platter and also the huanluan pork knuckle
It is exactly the worst restaurant in Sydney ever. I had a meal at the restaurant but i couln’t finish. And another take away food i just put the food which was minced pork rice into bin. Most of the meat was pork fat== They have to think how to serve food well to costumer. Never go to there again. Was terrible.I wasted money.
