Expensive and the dishes are a hit and miss. So are really good however some others, I’ve had better. One of the nicer ones in Hurstville. Not a long wait.Absolutely no service here. This used to be my fav place for yum cha however I’m going back to Sunnys.
Very inconsistent how I would describe this restaurant. There was a huge difference between amazing dishes and the very mediocre ones. Stand out dim sum would be the chicken feet, prawn dumplings, and fried mince dumpling. They were cooked to perfection: skin falling off the bone of the chicken feet; nice texture to both dumpling dishes and amazing mix of flavours! The rest were rather disappointing as they were not flavourful or over cooked like the steamed rice roll that was too soft and not silky. The mango pancake had no flavour besides the natural mango and the pancake was rather dry as there was barely any cream inside of it. Not to mention that the cream was also bland and tasteless. Willing to give this place another try though.
After hearing about the great reviews, I had to visit to see for myself and Im glad I did! Serving authentic Guangdong cuisine, the flavour of the dishes and the quality of service was truly up to standard! We visited on a weekday morning and it was already overflowing with customers dining in. We were seated immediately and service was great from start to finish. I highly recommend ordering the Siu Mai and Ha Gao. My favourite was the Prawn Rice Noodles and the BBQ Pork Buns which had a flavourful filling that had me addicted! We also requested a dish of Gai Lan and I really liked it.
My friend recommended this restaurant and its become our favourite place for yum cha in Hurstville. The dim sums are flavoured the way I like (not too sweet ). I usually like to order the dish with fried dough wrapped in smooth churn fun but they also have a different version with fried spring rolls wrapped instead. Both are delicious ! Also worth a mention is their tea is pretty good too, they put a generous amount of tea leaves so theres actually tea taste instead of coloured hot water. Been here a few times and will be back again.
My favourite yum cha place in Hurstville. The vibe is nicer compared with other Chinese food shops here. But have to say, the service is just so so. Came here few times, and they really serve decent flavour. The prawn dumpling, egg tart, custard bun were all not bad. The bbq pork rice roll is mediocre. But overall, we had a satisfied yum cha and definitely will come back again.
