Hands down the best fried dough sticks in Sydney! Fried fresh to order and made in store! Too bad they only do them on the weekends for breakfast, otherwise I’ll go every second day and get a bag full to bring home to have with some congee.

A hidden gem on the outskirts of the main Hurstville area. Food here is authentic and made with love. Great service from the staff and was lucky to have the chef come out and chat with us. Highly recommend the’Deep Fry Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce’. Will be back to try other dishes.5/5

Found this place whilst visiting a friend in the apartment above. Was a little sceptical at first as it was 7pmon a Wednesday night and there were only 2 tables of customers, but my friend insisted on dining here as she did not want to travel far and the food is good.We ordered one side dish (dongbeisalad with sesame paste $15.80), two main dishes (sweet and sour pork $23.80 / spicy prawns $32.80) and 2 bowls of rice ($2.00 each).Starting with this dongbeisalad, I personally am not friends with salad so I obviously did not decide on ordering this. But upon the first bite, I thanked my friend and shut my mouth and only opened to shove more food in. The salad came in a colourful mess of shredded carrots and cucumber, a bit of ham or spam, wood ear, bean curd and wide flat jelly noodles tossed in a sesame sauce. Every bitehad different textures and flavour depending what ingredients were in the mouthful. It was a delightful start and it made me less judging and looking forward to the next dishes. When the sweet and sour pork came out, my judging eye straight away questioned the dish as it was not what I expected, but remembering the last dish, looks can be deceiving and I gave it a go. Now think the Korean ‘tang su yuk’ but better! Crispy even though mixed with the sweet and sour sauce and the vinegar was not too overpowering like some of the Cantonese versions.Spicy prawns came next and man did they pack some heat. Definitely order this if you can handle some chilli. Prawns were large and fresh!Dinner for 2 came at around $40pp but good quality and fresh food. Price was worth it! Can’t wait to come back and let friends know about this beauty!

Hands down THE BEST deep fried bread sticks Ive had in Sydney!! Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed! Though Im more of a simple breaky person (just having the fried dough and the fresh soy milk already hit the spot just right for me) but their other items were pretty good too! A bit on the oily side for me so early in the morning (I went at 8am) but would be perfect for brunch/lunch 🙂 If you could only get one thing.. definitely go for the deep fried breadsticks!
