Bennett's on the River is a cafe/bar/restaurant in Penrith with arguably the best views and coffee in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. Based onboard the old Penrith Platypus boat on the Nepean River, Bennett's is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8.30am. Offering a tasty selection of Breakfast meals until 11.30Am, as well as an all-day Breakfast selection and Lunch from 11.30, We are also open for fabulous Underground Roasters Coffee, Cadbury Hot Chocolate, a selection of loose leaf teas including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Japanese Green Sencha as well as herbal teas to have with our range of cakes and biscuits. Our specials board changes every other day and will delight your tastebuds with something special for everyone! With seating for 66 downstairs, 14 on the the new outdoor upstairs deck and 38 upstairs under cover we offer seating at tables and comfy leather lounges. We offer a bookcase filled with Australian and local history and children's books for your reading pleasure whilst you relax and enjoy the peaceful ambience of the only cafe on the Nepean river with water views! I have been here four times and always find it very enjoyable. The food is nice, people very helpful and the site of bennetts is just beautiful. To be on the Nepean River is always enjoyable.
Had a lovely afternoon on Bennetts which is a river boat converted to a cafe. Moured on the Nepean. Lovely sitting having coffee and cake watch the ducks and rowers and other vessels go by. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
We have been to bennetts a few times with mixed impressions. Today we ordered iced coffees and iced chocolates they were the worst we have ever tasted. We won’t be back again.
