Katoomba’s most identifiable location. Spacious and comfortable, the indoors are warm and cozy in Winter, and the terrace is unsurpassed in summer. The staff are friendly, and the Carrington is the ideal place to lounge with friends.
A charming, grand old hotel with loads of character, and probably a few ghosts too. Grab a drink from the cocktail bar and relax by the fireplace in the loungeroom out back, or find a spot on the front porch and admire the gardens.
I’ve stayed at the Carrington Hotel on a number of occasions and been to a variety of functions there: from my sister’s Year 10 Formal to the Lady Luck Festival. Having grown up in the Blue Mountains, I love the history of the Carrington Hotel.I’ve had High Tea in the front rooms, relaxed with a drink in the cocktail lounge, and had a handy helping of a continental breakfast before venturing out to take in all the Blue Mountains has to offer.
If you’re looking for somewhere oldschool & cozy, you’ll be happy here. After ordering at the bar (we both had burgers) we headed to the tables in Charlie’s bar, where the food came fast & the service was good. I went for a wander & found the lounge area with plenty of comfy lounges infront of a crackling fire place. It was perfect after our hike & taking a break from the cold weather.
