On a cold Saturday afternoon, after lunch we were walking on the main road looking for something sweet.. Ice-cream/cake/pastries.. anything!! We just needed a coffee and sugar hit. The windy was icey, we were tired and we’re about to give up until we say a chalkboard sign that said ‘WARM APPLE CRUMBLE $7.50’ Oh yes please!It’s a cosy small cafe, with very friendly and happy service. We quickly placed our orders and waited patiently for our sweet treats to arrive. This apple crumble blew us away! The crumble was perfect mixture of hot cooked apple and crumble topping. The ice cream served with it was the good vanilla kind, and the small bowl of custard just finished complimented the hot apple so well. The taste added with the smell of warm cooked apple was just heavenly. I really wanted to just crawl up into a ball of contentment right there and then and just nap. For $7.50 it was a really generous serving, (myself and a girlfriend just managed to finish our dessert). It’s a dish you imagine your grandma would make, not mine obviously because we’re Asian and we have an orange for dessert lol
