Decent little bar right near Katoomba station… meals are pretty decent and price is great! You get a meal and a pint of Guinness for $20!! How can you fault that?! Steak and Guinness pie is a winner!
Went there with high hopes and after reading reviews on the famous beef pie. It was very bland and not enjoyable. There was a deal on when we were there, 20 dollars for the pie and a pint which was a good deal, but the pie sadly was not great.
An extremely strange and eccentric pub, where the only bartender serving on the Saturday of the October long weekend didn’t know which TV channel was showing the AFL Grand Final. The only 20 people in the pub were there to watch the game, and when the bartender eventually put it on free to air TV, the reception was quite poor and it kept cutting in and out. It’s bizarre to think that in 2016, a pub in Katoomba does not have proper TV antennae or digital capabilities to show one of the biggest games in the year!Food was average, where the ‘Grilled Chicken Burger’ had bacon in it…go figure!
