We chanced upon this tiny place on a long weekend since no other cafes were open so early on a Sunday morn (07:30am). The menu did ask us to anticipate a wait for homecooked food and though it took time, none of the dishes dissappointed. The coffee was amazing too. Will definitely drop by the next time we are in the area..Attached is a pic of the Baked Brekkie.

It was a long wait (over 20 minutes) for the food but we had to consider that they had a full house and also many customers for takeaway as well. When the food finally came out, the bacon eggs Benedict was a lot better than the eggs Benedict with asparagus and salmon. The bacon was crispy but not burnt and the poached eggs were perfect, with golden runny yolk. However, on the salmon one, the poached eggs held no real shape and kind of looks splattered on top of the toast. Also disappointing when I cut into one of the yolks and it was over cooked. Presentation aside – the food was tasty and the coffee milkshake had real coffee and not syrup! Would rate 3.5/5 if I could !!

The chorizo and sweet potato scrambled eggs were delicious, and the hot chocolate was good but very sweet. The staff were friendly. All the tables filled up within 15 minutes of opening.

Visited this place as part of Sydney trip. May be one of the best places to have breakfast in Katoomba. Small and cozy, crowded in the morning. Friendly and courteous staff. Egg and bacon is something to die for! Not a big fan of hot chocolate, but gave it a try based on my friend’s recommendation and it was fantastic (icing on the cake: hot chocolate is served with marshmallows!!)
