The most delightful lunchtime spot to view the magnificent blue mountains, a very good wine list, plenty of warmth and French onion soup with eggs blue cheese croutons! The saffron custard with caviar and crab was such a beautiful treat. This is definitely a place you need to book in advance. Very luckily for us friends booked and paid. Thanks

I can’t understand why Solitary has less than a 4.5 rating? We came here for lunch a year ago and it was spectacular. We came again today 12/05/17 and the food today was no less spectacular. Entre of slow cooked beef cheek was sublime and faultless, rich in flavour and to die for! Mains were confit duck with lentils, sauerkraut and cream potato for me and pork neck with Asian greens, rice and XO sauce for my wife. Both mains were rich in flavour and faultless in execution and we washed them down with a glass of Pino Noir and a local pale ale from Lithgow. For desert we had their signature chocolate mouse cake with honeycomb, caramel peanut and banana and was a perfect finish to an amazing lunch and cements Solitary as our favourite restaurant in the Blue Mountains. This easily deserves 5 stars, with incredible food and great service.

Very surprising experience here. Just a little bit waiting time but gain much more than should be. We had a special Duck Pasta and Eye steak. Tender and Juicy. Wonderful people in family feel restaurant. This one is must-go destination in Blue Mountain.

A restaurant that gives you a warm and home feeling the minute you walk in, then once sat down, the view speaks for itself. The floor staff are so calm and make you feel at home, the atmosphere is cosy and once you read the menu you are in a chefs heaven The flavours, the presentation & most of the taste on every dish, from entre to dessert you won’t be disappoint! Yes this is a hidden secret place that should be known to all. With my knowledge and experience in restaurants, do yourself a favour and cone to this secret wonderful place

I went here with family and had a wonderful dinner. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the gnocchi. We had a lovely bottle (or 3) of Chardonnay too that was really reasonably priced!

Snobby staff and an entitled chef.We arrived and were seated next to the entrance even though the restaurant was empty. Then they gave us the garden as well as the a la carte menu. After we where ready to order the waiter told us that they are expecting a group so we cannot order the a la carte only the pre ready garden menu since the chief needed to prepare for the group. This was a signal for us to leave the place. The restaurant looks great and I hope this was an isolated unfortunate experience we had.
