Recently went here for lunch after walking by and reading the menu, the salmon caught my eye. The food was good, wouldn’t fault it for lunch. Very quick and handy. Woman who served us was extremely friendly too!!

My wife and I called in for breakfast ,we waited at our table for service after 15 minutes we had to order at the counter, we waited for fifty minutes whilst people around us who came in after us were served. The waitress apologized she had mixed up our order and our food was on the way, orders came out for other customers but no sign of ours, another ten minutes later our coffee came out cold and our tasteless bacon and eggs arrived, on completion we went to pay only to be told no cards accepted. The manager was rude, and inexperienced PLEASE PLEASE DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE WORST SERVICE EVER

There are so many cafes in Katoomba but not too many were open at 8:30am, and we made the mistake of choosing Vee’s from the limited options. The big breakfast was inexplicably sitting in about 0.5cm of oily liquid, the poached eggs tasted off and couldn’t be eaten, mushrooms were bland and watery. Everything was unseasoned, wet, greasy and inedible. The French toast was drowned in that sickly fake maple syrup and was left untouched by our little one. Coffee was ordinary. We ended up cutting our losses and finding a decent cafe up the street where we had a lovely and much cheaper meal.

After an early morning start at Scenic World watching the runners tackle the Ultra Trail marathon, headed into town for breakfast. Quite a few cafes were not yet open and those that were were inundated by cold, hungry diners. We popped into Vee’s Cafe and were politely informed it was a 40 minute wait for food (!) so we ended up just ordering hot drinks instead. We weren’t in a particular hurry but the staff were, working frantically to get food and drinks out to customers. Appreciate being informed about the wait and the two floor staff were super friendly.

On a street full of cafes I made the mistake of choosing Vee’s Cafe. The fact it took them 15 minutes to clear a table outside with barely any customers present should have been a give-away already. I had to ask to get the table cleaned twice and was answered with a rude ‘we’re a bit busy here as you can see’. There were barely any customers present. We were asked to pay upfront because we wanted to sit outside. If we hadn’t already paid we would have walked away. We decided to sit inside instead then and the first table we sat at almost fell apart. We switched to another table then that seemed stable enough to eat on.We had ordered 2 soy flat whites, eggs benedict with salmon and the big breakfast. Well, the food certainly reflected the lack of manners of the staff. Bland, tasteless, greasy food and watery coffee. I’m gutted that I spent any money on the disgrace that we were served. The waiter didn’t even place the plates in front of us but just put them on the edge of the table. The cutlery as well as the coffee mugs were dirty. The big breakfast was a grease fest. Everything swam in fat. It was impossible for my partner to finish the meal and he felt sick afterwards from all the grease. The eggs benedict came with two slices of tasteless salmon. The hollandaise was watery and sour. (Pictures attached)The worst food and the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. If I could give this place a lower rating I definitely would. I’m warning you, do not eat there.
