Went for lunch on the weekend. Food is on the expensive side and it is not amazing, so I would say pricey for what you get. I had the chicken caesar salad which was okay, nothing special and my friend got the beef burger, which was not great. The only good thing here is there is a free salad bar.

U get to cook ur own steak in a shared griller and u have a buffet of the salad, which i think cN be improved in terma of quality :p there can be a serious queue so get in early. Great food from a standard pub menu. nice variety of beverages on tap and moderately priced. Decor and ambiance is quite lovely, definitely a nice setting and the outside area is also lovely. Nice place for a meal or a drink or two with friends!
Mrs Christie. Ordered last week honey salmon but they forgot the honey. Husband had veal steak tough as an old boot, daughter had thai beef salad and it was tasteless so tried to get some Tabasco sauce but they had none – yes disappointing
Food sucks. Sorry Doncaster, I’ve given you plenty of chances but you never fail to deliver tasteless, lifeless, uninspired slop.Avoid the ‘cook your own steak’ option unless you have a spare 2 hours to wait around for the grill that barely emits any heat at all.The salad bar is comparable to food you’d find in the bin. Watery, awful garbage.
Nice pub for food and drinks. We were there for lunch today (monday). The food selection is decent with nice cut of meat on display. The food is quite good, but pretty expensive (~$18-$20 for a main).
This is one of the great pubs in Sydney.decor inside is nice and they have paid a lot of attention to detail.We went upstairs to the self service meet restaurant. Very reasonable price and good quality meat. The ambience of the bar is also great and apparently very popular during race days being close to randwick . Will be back !
