Best chinese Indonesian fried rice! Unique flavour you cant find anywhere else in Sydney. The Fuyunghai (chinese style omelette) is also a must try, very crispy and delicious accompanied by the sweet and sour sauce.

Undoubtedly , the best Nasi Goreng in Sydney. This restaurant is seriously underated. I spent 2 years at UNSW eating in another restaurant right next to Fajar and did not know paradise was next door. The food is simply delicious, always freshly cooked. Fajar is the best kept secret in Sydney

Honestly I have no idea why it took me so long before I discover this place. Being an indonesian, I am quite embarrassed at the fact that I was introduced to this place by a Singaporean friend of mine. Had the Nasi Goreng Pete Babi and it was one of the most authentic Indonesian Nasi Goreng I’ve tried so far in Sydney. Also the Es Duren is amazingly good with a lot of Durian flesh in the drink itself. Also for the customer service, maybe because it is a family business, they service are very good and the owner are friendly as well. Definitely reminds me of home.

We have come to visit this restaurant several times and we are very happy with the food served. They are very tasty and in fact the quality of the food cooked has been like that for years. I tried the fried rice, it was delicious. The Kwetiau Siram was amazing with quite a generous serving size and I really love the gravy for it. The deep fried tofu (Batagor) was also delicious. We can request the spicy sauce to be mild if you prefer. The tofu was fried well which can be seen as golden colour but inside they were still fluffy and not overcooked. The only difficulty to dine in this restaurant is that you might need to wait to get a table as this restaurant is very popular but it doesn’t have many tables available.

I came to this Indo Chinese restaurant for lunch, my colleague informed me they specialise in Nasi goreng(Inonesian fried rice). I ordered the babi special(fried rice with bbq pork) A tasty Nasi goreng with fish balls challots and fried egg, although it was missing the accompanying pickled vegetables. Stop by, if you are after fried rice for lunch. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Delicious Chinese Indonesian mixed rice plate, and a yummy nasi Goreng. Fajar is one of the few restaurants serving Chinese indo fare, it’s all very tasty but a bit pricy. The only other issue here is the hygiene.. Please clean up the tables after your customers leave, so that new customers can take a seat without looking at leftover food. Minus 1 point.

This restaurant looks low maintained but they server very good food. It’s a good alternative of Ayam99. I used to take away their special nasi goreng with an eggs on top. Quick and yummy. Staffs are very friendly too. It feels like home.
