Friendly staff. Great food &taste really well. The beef rendang => RECOMMENDED. Along with curry and potato. Free hot tea available. Definitely will come back again
Been coming here for ages now, it is a quite simply designed outlet with canteen styled food. Always my go to during my Uni break as it is just a 5-10min walk from UNSW campus. The servers and owners are very nice, and when I ask for extra rice, they simply top it up for me. Loved the authenticity of the place and it is an amazing place to get a yummy indo feed
I loveeeeeee it with all my heart!! I am a big fan of Indonesian food especially rendang! and the rendang here tastes perfect!! absolutely beautiful and definitely gonna be a regular
I visited this restaurant with my colleagues who recommended this place. This authentic Indonesian restaurant is located near the UNSW. There are plenty of options on the menu including rice dishes, noodles, stirfrys and curries. I ordered from the hot buffet(the bain marie) 2 meat and 1 veg choice with rice for $10.50, great value. I am a massive rendang fan, so that was one of my choices and it did not disappoint. I also went the sweet ketchup manis chicken merryland, another good choice. For the vegetable option I went with the jack fruit curry and it was delicous, the pick of the lot. I will definitely return for more. This place serves quality Indo cusine and it is pretty cheap too. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Sedap rasa is the place to go to if you want authentic indonesian food. The bihon goreng is fanstastic, light and fluffy and not too oily. Their hot bar selection is a must try. The varieties available makes you want to come back to try the rest! Staff is also very friendly and warm. Good value.
I tried the rice with various selections here recently. It was all OK but without a doubt too far on the spicy side for my liking. I dont think the flavours really did it for me either. I ordered the cassava leaves in green curry and also the yellow curry chicken and chilli fish.It was a cold day and raining so strangely a bit cold in summer to sit in the naturally lighted area. The area further inside was a bit dark during lunchtime. Seating wasnt all that comfortable.Service was OK. Im not sure if the food was authentic Indonesian but it was certainly spicy and quite oily.
If you are judging from the pictures on the outside, Sedap Rasa looks like just another boring Indo joint. Here you can either order dishes a la carte or just pick three from bain marie.Tried their Beef Rendang, Balado Fish and Sweet Soya Sauce Chicken. I was pleasantly surprised with the Beef Rendang as it is quite authentic. The portion is also relatively generous.Another interesting thing about this joint is that you can get Green Sand, Teh Sosro, Calpico and other popular Soda without having to go to Indo Grocery stores nearby.Bottomline: Good food. Good Service. Very good value.
