General asian cuisine. Went there for a friend’s birthday celebration the other night. Food is good, portions not too big. Very nice if you’re looking for a quiet environment to have food 🙂
This place is near where I live. Some of my favourite from this place are, Nasi Goreng Kampong, Fried Turnip Cake, Fried Kway Teo. Personally, I love their Fried Turnip Cake. I have never tried a turnip cake as great as them. Serving size is great. Service is friendly. Plenty of place to sit too.
Food wasn’t too bad but service wasn’t great. They took a long time to take our order and then took even longer for the food to come out. Food came out sparingly and one dish came out after we had all finished eating all of the other plates. Restaurant wasn’t great looking, looked a bit dirty. Is quite far from where we live and a bit pricey on some dishes. Probably wouldn’t go back again.
Singaporean mud crab was divine. We also had chicken satay sticks and chao kwai tieu which were both very average. The prices were very reasonable with most dishes in the $10-$20 mark with the exception of mud crab which was crazy expensive. We got free red bean soup and fruit as a complimentary dessert which was nice. The last time I visited this joint a few years ago it was packed out but tonight it was fairly empty I’m guessing because they jacked up the mud crab prices so dearly.
Dinner cost $300 (although admittedly we ordered a lot and there was 8 of us), the restaurant was freezing and the food was average. Nothing incredible but definitely not bad. HOWEVER, my whole family got severe food poisoning! I have never been so sick in my life, and I was concerned when I walked past the kitchen to go to the bathroom and saw raw chicken just sitting around and the kitchen was quite dirty.
Run down and kinda grubby but damn do they make an awesome combination kway teow. So saucy so good. The Har mee is not bad either. Not as cheap as some of the other Malaysian joints in the area but great tasty food.
