I always get the Thai chicken salad, any time I get a chance to when I’m near upper campus. Super fresh ingredients, the crunch of the peanuts and fried shallots is the best and the dressing is to die for. I sometimes get random cravings for this salad, it’s so good!! Also very filling, unlike regular leafy salads.

huge lines all the time especially for the salads, soups are great for when its cold but taste wise it is pretty average (campus food is usually average though, and a bit on the pricier side). better options outside of campus imo

Stockmarket is a serious contender in the realm of UNSW’s upper campus. It boasts a great selection of soups, pastas and DIY salads which are always popular with the university students due to it’s very affordable price tag.On this occasion we opt for two DIY salads and the soup special of the day which is a chicken and lentil combination with slices of apple and a coconut base. It’s very warming and its deliciousness more than makes up for the fact that it’s a super hot day. There wasn’t a whole lot of chicken unfortunately. The salads too were crisp and fresh with lots of tasty fillings put in based on our requests. For the additional $2 price tag, we wish there was more chicken in one of the salads as well. But by and large Stockmarket is our preferred lunch spot when we’re at the top of the campus.

When the days are cold, the Stock Market Kitchen @ UNSW gets unbelievably busy. I too, was one of the fools to line up for a large cup of soup and a slice of bread to dip.My first soup was their goulash…. which left me very disappointed. Tasted quite oily and still not enough flavour. My second soup was their chicken noodle soup (pictured above)… which was quite mediocre as well unfortunately. The noodles were so-so and the chicken was dry… but that’s kinda expected in a soup. what you do get is a massive cup of piping hot soup… which unfortunately the cup it comes in doesn’t hold the heat very well…I also manage to try their tortellini… which just left me shaking my head as how little love their is in their food… from poor quality soups to pastas that don’t make me crave another bite… Just another fast food outlet pumping out low quality stuff to the masses. The worse thing about this place is their service… despite being busy or not… they don’t even serve you with a smile. I went wide for this review… but I’m sure I won’t be coming back…
