What a great find!! Great atmosphere inside, it almost felt like a Balinese day spa as well as a restaurant!! So relaxing, we didn’t even want to leave. A great place to go for a nice intimate dinner for 2, or with a group of friends. We were surprised it wasn’t really busy when we came here on a Friday night – however this was during Christmas break so not sure what it’s like on regular days… The food was just amazing, each dish we all attacked and we left no scraps. We had the fried eggplant, coconut curry, and my favourite BBQ whole snapper. We definitely will come here again, not just because we live in the area!

Beautiful interior and great service from the boss and one waitress. However I found the food is quite disappointing , we ordered a spread of food and none of the dishes really stood out ! I particularly disliked the chicken stir fried with vegetables, they actually used the frozen veggies like baby corn broccoli etc . But great service !

The Fried Eggplant (4/5) is divine! That delicious salsa sauce is reminiscent of a traditional Laos dressing sauce that brought us right back to Asia. It was the perfect topping for perfectly cooked melt in your mouth Eggplant that was amazingly crispy on the edges. YUM! Bebek Ubud (3/5) these crispy duck pancakes were unfortunately a bit of a let down. The wraps were a bit too doughy and there was an extremely stingy amount of duck, cucumber and shallots. The Nasi Uduk (4/5) was served with the most aromatic coconut rice we’ve had. The egg was a tad salty but the prawn crackers added a nice texture to this hearty dish.

This is by far the best Indonesian restaurant in Sydney. The food is authentic, fresh and the service is brilliant. The owner always goes above and beyond and can almost always be found personally serving guests. I recommend the restaurant to everyone.Aside from the incredible food the atmosphere of the restaurant is great particularly for a group or romantic dinner. It is dimly lit, but not too dark -often with candles and has beautiful carved doors which mimics the feel of actually being in Ubud. The value for money is exceptional too, $19 for the coconut curry which feels like something you would get at China Doll for $35+.Overall, my favourite dishes are: Ikan Bakar (grilled fish), Rendang (coconut beef), Chicken Sate, Kangkung (water spinach with great spices) & es Cendol (a dessert made with crushed ice and Pandan which is a leaf) or the black sticky rice with coconut cream.

We went on a Friday night and although it looked a bit quiet on the outside but the experience definitely didnt let us down. Nice interior and amazing ambience that reminds of Bali; food was delicious: had the traditional crepe , the ubud half chicken and seafood noodle. Although would have preferred less sugar and sweetness in the maim dishes. Didnt get to try the dessert cuz we were so full but the menu looked interesting and would try next time! Lastly service was so welcome and sweet. My friend and I changed a few seats due to cold weather but the waitresses are so kind yo accommodate .

Ubud is great restaurant to visit for an authentic Balinese experience. I have fond memories of Bali and this place makes me want to go back in a hurry. As soon as you walk in you are transported back to Bali; The decor, the music, the smell of incense burning and the charismatic owner all contribute to that feeling. For some reason this restaurant had dropped of my radar and I’m not sure why. We were here in a group and shared a number of dishes. The food is delicious, full of flavour and decent portions. We enjoyed the flavoursome nasi goreng special(special fried rice), the succulent ayam goreng(fried chicken) and the ayam chicken( Balinese satay chicken) which is made with candle nut.A great dining experience!!! a little more expensive than Bali, but you don’t have take a flight. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Dishonest owner. Saw the offer from entertainment book for 25%off ( no terms and conditions) and therefore choose to dine in there. When we about to pay the bill and show the offer for discount, the owner gave lots of excuses/reasons that we are unable to use the vouchers which doesnt make sense. Food itself just alright but not the authentic indonesian foods. This Will be my last visit to this restaurant. Very dissapointed.
