We stumbled across this cafe by accident and it was serendipitous that such a bad event that brought us to Nepean Hospital also brought us to Mandesa Florist Cafe! This indoor cafe is a walk in terrarium of plants and flowers. The light floods in the windows and you forget your are in the middle of the suburbs, Its like walking in to a glass house but with food! We were extremely impressed with the customer service, as we requested these dishes be made vegan friendly and the chef was more than happy to oblige. We ordered the Falafel Plate and the not so Smashed (but thinly sliced) Avo. The food was filling and just oily enough to take the acidic edge off the stomach from the night before. We love drinks menus and unfortunately they only had 3 cold pressed juice options, we tried the Red which was beetroot, apple, carrot, ginger and the Green which was apple spinach, lemon, mint. Both completely opposite to each other. Red was warming and rounded, Green was light refreshing and sharp on the pallet. If we are out that way again, hopefully not to visit the hospital Mandesa is our number one go to for great vegan/non vegan food and lovely relaxing atmosphere. Next time we want to try their amazing sweet items!

Love this Cafe. As a florist and also a cafe, I found the concept is extraordinary. The plants you see inside the Cafe not only look beautiful as part of the decor but you can also buy them!Located just in front of Nepean Hospital, this Cafe offers many exciting dishes including some healthy option dishes as well as Middle Eastern inspired dishes.Coffee is amazing (from Reuben Hills).I tried their Chicken Burger, Almond Milk Porridge and Corn & Haloumi Fritters. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. I cant even pick my favourite as I equally love them all! The dishes were fresh and delightful. They also serve organic tea including Japanese Tea.I tried the organic Genmaicha. It was a great tea with a touch of sweetness.Totally worth a visit.
