Good venue ( but maybe too much like the real Asia), friendly staff, nice outlook – but over sauced, over cooked food. This is our second visit ( I could not convince my wife that we had been before – hence this review) but there won’t be a third.I suspect the food is par cooked or resides in a bain-marie as it appears very quickly. If you want a nice outlook, good service and are happy with food court style food you may enjoy this place – but you won’t see me there
Nice verandah, internal decoration reminiscent of an asian street, friendly staff but overcooked, over sauced food. We have tried this place twice but won’t be going for the trifecta.Service is quick and I expect that much of the food is par cooked hence the disappointing quality. This place just needs a new chef and it would be great
Tried out Street Market for dinner. It’s basically Asian tapas with what I’d call modern Asian as some dishes were unique (grilled salmon on a satay stick).Great customer service and the food were ready very quickly (5 minutes after we ordered) even though it was a busy public holiday.Below are the dishes we had… They were all extremely delicious. Spicy chicken San choy bao in lettuceSteamed Barramundi fillet with ginger, soy and shallotsHoney soy crusted tofu, gluten free & vegetarianGrilled oysters with garlic butterChar grilled salmon skewer with sweet soy mayoChar grilled eggplant with soy miso glaze I’ll be coming back soon with friends to try out more of their amazing dishes soon!
Nice food. Friendly service. Quite a few gluten free options. Lovely out on the deck. Would def go again. Ribs were the standout (not GF). Well priced
Went there on a sat night, after trying to decide what to have in Kiribilli area. Was a pleasant surprise as it’s Asian fusion cuisine so something different from the numerous Thai, Chinese, Malay and other restaurants. Had the crispy chicken with kimchi Mayo, was perfect. Also had the custard buns with crushed peanuts and condensed milk, was also a delight. They didn’t have the steam dumplings available for dinner, so had the fried dumplings instead, was fine. Food, ambience, decor and service was excellent, although a bit on price side, however given its location it’s not a surprise.
Such a refreshing option in Kirribilli from all the Thai restaurants. Has a small tapas like menu with Asian inspiration. The fried calamari, fried chicken, roti with satay sauce and roast pork belly pancakes were all delish! Monday and Tuesday = $10 on all tapas (cash only) which is a great deal. And on the weekend does good yum cha – not as extensive a yum cha menu as normal but has the faves – pork buns, prawn dumplings etc. Cool interior and friendly staff. Nice place for dinner and lunch!!
A great experience. Casual & chic. The asian tapas menu is well thought out and all preparations are with a nice twist that make it different. We had Roti Chennai… Oysters… Chicken San Choi…. Tofu… the Banana Fritters are a must try! The ambiance is very relaxing and lively with excellent service. A great hidden find in Kirribilli that I found by accident but will be frequenting – with my girlfriends!
