I’ve had sushi all around Sydney and this place is one of my favourites close to work and home for lunch. They are cheap but great quality in everything they serve. The service is polite and welcoming. The chicken udon is always amazing
No-frills Japanese restaurant with some non-sushi offerings. Price is pretty good compared to the cost of Japanese elsewhere but the quality and thus value leaves something to be desired. Service is reasonable, with friendly enough staff. However, disappointingly, the place seems small and habitually vacant. Most disappointingly, though, we thought that the sushi did not seem particularly fresh and, unsurprisingly, that the fish in the sushi was not of excellent quality. However, given that this isn’t a full-fledged Japanese restaurant with pro chefs, that’s fair.Given this, we would probably only come back to Tomo Sushi if we were passing by and had sushi cravings.
Thumbs up. Excellent value and good quality sushi.
