10/10. I recently just moved to kotara, and I really enjoy Chinese food on the odd occasion. Hooi’s is close by and the food is excellent and the prices are really reasonable as well. Highly recommenced.
We were expecting good Malaysian food but found it to be Anglosised. All dishes were very sweet, the curry tasted like curry powder and bland. They also have way too many items on the menu, from Chinese to Thai to Malaysian. It would be much better if they stuck to less dishes and did them well. The staff were very nice and I could see the appeal of this place as a cheap local. I think it needs keep up with Australia as our tastes improve
