Sneakers – we arrived in Albury late on Friday night, and with all the supermarkets closed Domino’s was pretty much the only option for dinner. We ordered a Loaded Meatlovers with no minced beef and extra pepperoni, some chicken ribs and the buffalo flavoured chicken lollipops. The pizza was not at all what I was expecting. Visually it was very pleasing and catered to my sense of OCD by having exactly one piece of pepperoni, one piece of bacon, one piece of Italian sausage etc. per slice. Now this is the type of presentation you’d expect from Crust or similar, but Domino’s is normally generous with the amount and distribution of their toppings, but this pizza was seriously lacking. Considering I removed the minced beef and added extra pepperoni there should definitely have been more than one slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza. I was interested to try the chicken lollipops but they were a disaster. The flavour itself wasn’t so bad, it was like a light flavouring of TGI Friday’s chicken wings type flavour, and sadly that was the best part about it. The chicken lollipop itself mainly consists of bone, gristle and fatty undercooked chicken skin. Without a doubt you get twice as much actual chicken on a chicken rib than you do on the lollipops, which is ridiculous considering the price difference. Now I understand Albury is a small town and normally I appreciate Domino’s GPS pizza tracker, but it’s very insulting to watch the tracker drop off someone else’s order on the way to drop off your order. And then when our delivery arrived, all the chicken items were basically cold. Domino’s chicken items are notorious for not holding their temperature as it is, but to add that on top of being the second of two orders to be delivered just pushed it too far in the temperature department. Cassidy – all as above – I just had the chicken ribs and they were cold. Pretty disappointing. Great local store – there was an issue with the website not showing our address. We called the store and the local manager was happy to change the delivery address, and even followed up to make sure we got the order 🙂
