Ordered nasi lemak with chicken curry. Service was quick and the old guy at the shop was polite. Definitely not authentic nasi lemak but it tastes good surprisingly! It has lotsa chicken in it, tender and nice, lotsa ikan bilis, half an boiled egg, no sambal and no cucumber but I wanna emphasise again, it really taste not bad and its really pretty good! Considered a bit pricey for a neighbourhood restaurant but the portion was big. They were also very generous with the prawn crackers.
very bad food. had a nasi ramas but tasted nothing like the real thing, gluggy, and revolting. a poor cantonese version of the real thing. also a supposed laksa which i couldn’t recognise…………very disappointing
So impressed by the friendliness of the staff here! They’re always happy to adjust their meals to my vegan requests, and last time I was there I was short on change and the woman who served me was completely understanding and kind about it. Food is delicious, they offer huge portion sizes for very cheap prices, and always ready impressively quickly!
This is the worst ‘called Malaysian’ restaurant. The chef is from Mainland China & he doesn’t know how to cook authentic Malaysian food at all. The two dishes we ordered, didn’t look or taste Malaysian at all. It was awful, half of the food was cold. I don’t know why they still retain the colourful Malaysian food photos on their wall. These must have been from the last owner, very deceitful. It wasn’t cheap, a waste of money. I’ve eaten in very exceptional authentic Malaysian restaurants around Sydney, this is nothing compared with them. One rating is more than they deserve!!
Try the roti canai. I reviewed this place a year ago in 2012 but the MNH has changed hands since. I have been back for the laksa but alas I feel it isn’t as good as it was with the previous owner. I do however recommend trying the roti canai, it just melts in the mouth, very tasty indeed.18 Nov, 2012Laksa goodness – Hell yeah!!. The best Laksa in Sydney! Delicious Malaysian food. I often drive across town just to dine here, I love this place. The owner is the best and so friendly. Prices are quite reasonable. The ambience for dining is not flash but when the food is so good who cares! In fact I’m going to go there right now…
Not bad – prices reasonable. My husband and I ate there last night. He had the beef green curry with rice, while I had the combination laksa. He enjoyed his beef curry, though it wasn’t very authentic in my opinion (I have eaten many green curries in my time!) but it was at least tasty. The combination laksa was a bit disappointing – ok but nothing special. I wouldn’t hurry to go back, but if I lived locally I might order takeaways. They have a very extensive menu for such a small place!
Laksa goodness. Had some terrific take-aways from here. The Combination Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice are great.
