We went to mezzapica on a Sunday and it was quite busy. Located right next to the iconic mezza pica cakes. The staff were friendly and we were seated promptly. We ordered the squid ink spanner crab pasta, unfortunately they didn’t have the squid ink so we ordered the regular spanner crab pasta anyway and it was delicious, light weight and easy to eat. The portion in my opinion was good but not enough because it was so delicious we wanted to eat more of it! My partner downed the entire bowl in about 10 minutes. I ordered their healthy brekkie bowl as a part of their collab with wellness and fitness 04 the bowl came with poached eggs kale quinoa avo nuts seeds cherry tomatoes with beet relish and hummus. It was jam packed of healthy goodness. The bowl was good but I think it needed a little bit more flavour… seasoning maybe? We couldn’t go without ordering a slice of their ricotta cheesecake and it was absolute gold. We rate the food 4/5 but the attentiveness really bumped the score down. we tried and failed several times to get the attention of someone to serve us we waited for about 20 mins and figured they must’ve forgotten about our cake order. We are mindful that the cafe was busy. Other than that we loved it. We would go back and if we find staff attentiveness to be better then we’d bump up the rating We were kindly invited theweekendfoodieeats.blogspot.com

Great little cafe serving hearty italian fare. Everything was well made and we tried the weekly special Seafood risotto, Spice roasted quinoa salad with the works. Standout was the Hot Pot baked eggs – loved the crusty parmesan cheese layer but eggs and tomato base could do with a tad longer in the oven. Service was great and we finished off the meal on a sweet note with the Mango passionfruit cheesecake, Nougat slice, Snickers mousse cake, Chocolate baklava. There’s the Mezzapica Cake Studio right next door so everything is professional quality and so daintily made!
