Lovely cafe sitting by the fire. The cappuccino were creamy and frothy. But my large came in a takeaway cup. Michael had the bonton burger with chips. He enjoyed it. I had the mushroom with bacon and poached egg. The egg was a boiled not poached. The bacon was crisply. Still enjoyable thanks guys for a lovely lunch
This place seems to have changed owners since we were last here around 2 years ago. Not sure if thats the case but the standard seems to have dropped. I ordered the beef rib, which if I had eaten in a pub for $20 or so would have been happy with, but as a $39 main it just didnt cut it. My wife had pasta and escargot and echoed my sentiments. The restaurant was less than half full and the couple behind us complained to the manager about their fish curry being extremely over cooked. Service was slow but friendly. Bon Ton is not terrible but the fine dining prices are not justified by the standard of the food. We wont be back again.
This place was nothing special. The meals were fine but it was pretty expensive for what you got. The service was really good though and the location is great.
The service here was a standout, as was being seated next to a lovely gas fire on a cool morning. The atmosphere was lovely. The coffee was okay, but sadly, the food was underwhelming – the most expensive meal we had during a 3 day stay in Leura was the most disappointing by a long shot. Bland pulled pork hash and loveless baked beans.
The food is good, but it’s quite pricey. I’ve mainly been for dinner, which makes it slightly better value for money than some of the other reviewers have encountered.
The food is pretty nice but really not worth the amount you pay. Service is ok. Decor is beautiful and atmospheric but over all this place is way too over priced.
This small cafe restaurant is located at the end of the shopping strip, with plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is right. Staff pleasant and helpful. We had coffee in between shopping.
