With crowds present and a long standing reputation for quality, I expected a little more when faced with options of only pizza over weekend late lunch. The salted anchovie pizza is topped with confit garlic being the reason we ordered it… Ordering fries and a side salad too, these were also good – fries crisp, but not overcooked and seasoned well. The rocket salad wasn’t completely drenched in balsamic either. Whilst the food is OK I think what hooks people in is just the lovely, cosy vibe. As an old mechanics store – the place has been decked out so tastefully with well worn antiques giving it alot of character. Although I’m guessing the crowds at Leura Garage aren’t news it looked like the staff were frazzled. Tables are also a little too packed in some areas and we found we had to consistently shift to allow people access to get around the dining table to the facilities. I can see the allure but not solely with the food – that said, Leura has very limited options if you decide to stop in this little town that is buzzing with crowds. crumbs-au.com

Calamari Fritto : Amazing Grissini : Amazing Summer Tasting Menu : Amazing Service : Amazing It understandable as to why Leura Garage is so well known in the Blue Mountains region. Hands down the best experience Ive ever had at a restaurant so far. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and warming. If youre in the area, its a MUST try. Cant stress that enough. Bookings are essential.

I really enjoyed the food here! I ordered the mushroom burger and it was so delicious – it had these crunchy sweet potato chips in it. Mind you when they said it came with sweet potato chips I kind of expected a side of hot chips not just 5 crisps in my burger but it still tasted fabulous so I’m not too upset. Would return! The truffle mash potato also looked delicious, but so did all the food really.

Went down to the Blue Mountains for a hike one day and was absolutely famished afterwards. Randomly stumbled upon this place and I was so glad we did ! Do yourself a favour and get the seafood paella. It is absolutely amazing! The serving size is very generous, enough for more than two people but since we were so hungry after the hike, we managed to down the entire thing between 2 people! Its a cosy atmosphere and staff were really friendly and attentive. Cannot speak for other dishes on the menu, but I saw a lot of people enjoying pizza. I would definitely return simply for the paella!

LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!Super cute decor, prompt service and superb food quality, we are keen to come again! We over ordered as always, but everything on the menu looked too good to not order :p We ended up with the chicken wings, the polenta chips and a pizza. The portions were huge! The chicken wings are a bit on the sweet side, but i like honey, so it wasnt a problem for me. The polenta chips are creamy inside and crunchy. The pizza is pure perfection! Not overly oily, a good crust and the right amount of spicy sausage came together nicely. Its aromatic and smokey. They also have an extensive beverage list, perfect for a lazy friday arvo (or any day!)

A casual restaurant set in a converted mechanics workshop. We dined on a Saturday evening at 7pm, the restaurant was full by 7:30pm.Waiters were attentive and the wait for food was reasonable. We shared the calamari, polenta and pumpkin pizza. All were great, calamari especially.Wine and beer list is fairly limited, although enough there to suit most tastes. Docked a star as our second course wasnt delivered to us after an hour which was taken off the bill and also for bringing our attention to leaving a tip even though theres already a 10% weekend surcharge. All in all, a nice spot to have dinner although nothing outstanding.
