Hands down the best and finest bingsoo I’ve ever had in Sydney (ever since Cafe Jabez a few shops away closed down). I only go for the bingsoo and the Injeolmi is definitely a favourite while the strawberry flavour comes second. Would pass on the green tea flavour as it is a bit bitter and not so flavoursome. The bingsoo is defnitely not the cheapest ($17, sometimes $15 on special) but definitely worth it in my opinion. Only downsides are the limited seating spaces and sometimes the wait times if the machines are down or the ice has not been delivered yet. Despite this, I always find myself coming back!
This place is a carb lovers heaven. If you love Asian style sweet bread and cookies, this is the bakery for you. Being a bakery, seating area is very limited if you decide to enjoy your bread there while having coffee as well. I tried peanut crumble bread and butter cream bread. The peanut crumble bread is average. No peanut taste at all. The butter cream bread is delicious. Pillowy and soft with generous cream inside. The bread itself is not overly sweet, which is good. Coffee is pretty good (Lavazza). I might come again to try their Bingsoo (Korean shaved ice dessert) next time.
The bingsoo is definitely a MUST TRY ! Personally I really love the Injeolmi Bingsoo, the ice are very soft a bit milky, but thats the lovely taste, and theres lots of topping on the top and they also give you the condensed milk on the side, and everything just well balanced, sweet but not too sweet. Ive been here few times for the injeolmi bingsoo, but they say the Green tea bingsoo also da bomb, but sadly Im not a fan of green tea so I havent tried any.
Loved the green tea matcha bingsoo here! Great for dessert. The ice is very thinly shaved and together with the matcha powder it just melts nicely in your mouth. The mochi and red beans were also a plus. Definitely will be visiting again
The bingsoo is the best I’ve had in Sydney so I’m giving this rating based on the bingsoo. The green tea bingsoo was so finely shaved, it was powdery and then melted in your mouth. Very delicious, a bit on the expensive side at $17 for flavored ice but given the quality – I would come again to try the different flavors.
Our family’s favourite place to buy cakes from, everyone’s birthday cakes are from here! We’ve tried the green tea cake on multiple occasions and Cael has not disappointed. A very nice balance from the actual cake base, to the cream and sweetness. The sweet potato cake has also been the best I have tried from the Korean cake shops in Sydney. Cael>Pishon. There is actually sweet potato between the layers of cake with the cream. The subtle sweetness and sweet potato taste came through very well!My friends and I were going to try their Bingsoos earlier this year but they were closed by the time we finished dinner 🙁 Did I mention that their cakes are for good prices too!
Came here for the Bing Soo late at night – it was my first time trying Bing Soo! We got the matcha and the strawberry flavours to share between 4 people. The portions were quite big (and the waitress sneakily gave us a littleee bit more as they were closing soon hehe) and while the matcha was great, I preferred the strawberry one. It had a very cool (heh) texture to it, you could basically pick up the strands! Loved the mochi, strawberry and nuts that came with it. My only problem is with the price – it was $17 each. For ice, flavouring and a bit of topping?! The service was good though, and it does have an edge in that the strawberry one was very interesting. Would come back for a bit of indulgence every now and then 😛 Best to share with a few people.
