I bought a takeaway tuna salad sandwich at 8:15 am. It was totally soggy and the two halves stuck together, obviously left over from yesterday. When I returned the owner refused to accept that I had bought it there. AVOID this dodgy establishment.
The only place good about this place is it’s location. We went for an early breakfast as we had time before we caught the last train from Lidcombe to Rhodes. We ordered for eggs + hash browns, cappucino and toast. Everything was terrible, cappucino had less sugar and wasn’t made well, the hash browns were super oily and the bread seemed to be old. The service was poor as I did not get my coffee with my breakfast on time which could have resulted in missing the train.
Check out these cute triangle caramel slices for $1.50. Cute friendly old couple run this joint and so adorable. Its an easy rest stop on your way to work or on the way home conveniently across from the station with a range of sandwiches / baguettes and hot dishes. thenextrushmagazine.com
Best coffee and Bacon/egg rolls I’ve ever had from take away, I come once here once a week as I work up the road and have done so for at least a year! The staff are beautiful and so welcoming.
Right front of lidcomb station. I had latte and was only $3, it tasted ok. Best thing about this cafe is the location. I like a friendly Korean lady here:)
Conveniently located on the side of Lidcombe station, Caf on Railway is a small eatery hosting a selection of simple and easy-to-assemble breakfast and lunch food.As frequent customer, I can vouch with great certainty for the warmth and enthusiasm of the staff here. The team is eager to please and often caters for the specific requirements of their customers. Having said that, the food here is mediocre at best. The turnover rate for the ready made hot food selection is very poor and thus many of their food are left in the open for questionably long periods of time; albiet on hot plates. The lunch set is a pretty good deal and for $11 you get a burger, chips and a can of soft drink. The chips are alright with a generous seasoning of chicken salt. The burgers have no real selling point. Made with supermarket bun, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and a grilled piece of too-dry chicken, the ensemble is very easy to replicate at home. The tea I should mention is just a lipton tea bag and hot water.Nonetheless, I will be back given the limited food selections around Lidcombe and the optimal location of this caf .
