Great work lunches – won’t need dinner. Located in the NSW RFS building, kind of in the middle of a light industrial estate at the southern end of Sydney Olympic Park. You might never know it was there unless you kept an eye out for the small sign near the road indicating its presence. You can eat in watching whatever news channels the NSW RFS decides to play at the time, or sit outside.Seems to cater directly for the people working in the immediate vicinity, and by this I mean really big serves of everything. The staff are friendly and efficient. Their roast lunches (normally about $9 – $10.50) are tasty and huge. You certainly won’t be needing dinner after one of those. They have a jumbo burger for $5.50, and that is about as big as I have seen them come – so lives up to name. If you get a burger with the lot, good luck getting your mouth around it! Chicken (schnitzel or grilled) sandwiches or burgers contain a nice big, juicy chicken breast treat. There are a range of salads on offer that vary from day to day, all good. The only thing I could dis about the place is that the coffees are average for mine, and if you order off the menu, say like some extras in your sandwich or wrap, the price charged seems to fluctuate day to day, and bear little resemblance to the price for those extra items as advertised on their menu board. It all depends on who makes up your meal but we are talking about 20-30c here so no biggie, just inconsistent.Overall great value and worth a look if you are in the area at lunch time.
