Diana. WOW-thought this type of cooking went out of fashion years ago & oh boy have I missed this humble pie until this little jewel bequeathed my eyes on a recent trip to Lismore! These pies are so homemade you would think your Gran made them. The pastry is flaky & melt in the mouth delicious with that brown straight out of the oven appeal. Then we come to the filling which is packed so full of REAL ingredients you have to do a double take. I actually stopped buying pies years ago because I was sick of just a gluggy gravy with no solids! Then there is the variety-where does one start? We were so awe inspired they had to keep asking us if we were OK!! I finally decided on the pumpkin pie & a mexican veg roll. The friend chose a vegetarian pie & a cauliflower & chicken number. Then there was the sweet treats too! Pies chock full of apples, so full they oozed! Oh dear what a shame these pies are in Lismore & I live in Brisbane!!
