Went Twice to this place and was turned away! They told me they are closed! I checked their trading hours before heading there on last occasion. I walked in at 5.15pm and was asked rudely to leave as they are closed. I told them I checked their trading hours before and it says they close at 6.00pm! They didnt even care to respond! This is bullshit! Change your trading hours and dont mislead people!
Jeepers – what a find! I am running late to work, hooning down the road and screech to a halt, having seen the word FELAFEL in my peripheral vision (I am like the cookie monster for felafel). Aside from the enormous servings and the unexpected lashings of extras, and the incredibly cheap price list, everyone behind the counter is amiable, generous, honest, and downright neighbourly.Did I mention the food yet? Everything on the menu is so yummy and clearly fresh. And the felafel are extraordinary. My favourites at Al-Aseel (Greenacre) and Abduls (Surry Hills) with be getting some sure-fire competition.
Amazing little spot in Liverpool – you’d be hard pressed to find a better Lebanese place. You could easy walk past it – the frontage is nondescript and very no frills inside They offer the best falafel around – so fresh and such good value (16 for $6) My favourite is the homous and meat. The Lebanese bread is always super fresh …..and did I mention the value???I fed 12 people today for lunch with enough in leftovers to feed another 6 for only $59 !!! They gave me two plates of vegetables as well. A favourite of our workplace for a team lunchYou won’t be disappointed
Hammoud1 Restaurant is one of those places in Liverpool most people are likely to walk past and never try, it is however a restaurant we both love and highly reccomended when youre in the mood for a good meal without wanting to break the bank. Although the menu may seem a little limited, we can assure you the food is REALLY good. We opted for their takeaway option today as it’s really cheap for falafels. $6 for 16. They’ve also got a falafel roll deal where you can get 5 rolls for $15, we didnt order that today however. Instead we got 32 falafels (which only costed $12), a plate of hommus and meat and a serving of foule. We also got given two servings of tahini sauce, a bag of bread and a salad for free. With drinks the bill totaled to about $34 and it was enough for our whole family to eat with leftovers. It doesn’t get any cheaper than that in our opinion. Especially for great tasting Lebanese food. Trust us when we say you’ll never have a better falafel anywhere else. This place honestly makes the best. Maybe because theyre cooked to order, who knows. All we know is theyre light and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Together with hommus or the free tahini sauce with or without bread there is no better combination. Seriously go here. Even if its just once. We assure you you’ll be definitely coming back for more. Just make sure to order falafels !!
A no frills joint serving up a small handful of Lebanese dishes – mostly dips, beans and felafel in various combinations. Not your usual BBQ-ed meats you’ve come to expect from Lebanese restaurants here, more like breakfasty items like foule with tahini (garlicky softened broad beans with sesame paste and olive oil). The meat with hummus is my personal favourite – thick and creamy chickpea dip topped with sliced meat and slivered almonds, but everyone comes for the felafel. It’s also ridiculously cheap and good value – eg felafel are 8 for $3!
