The service is nice, always greeted with a smile.I usually come here for the Samosas as they are the best around in Liverpool. The Jaleebis and Gulab jaam are very tasty (juicy and warm). Really love the Raace Malai…. cool delicious milky bread in sugary milk sauce.Only negative side – prices are a bit high but then you do pay for quality!

This is my go-to for Indian food. I typically get the butter chicken and chicken tikka and I love them both! The cheese naan here is good too. They moved across the street and the restaurant looks so much more modern aswell 🙂

Went to this restaurant on Tuesday for lunch. It was a terrible experience! Broken pani-puri with holes on them, hardly any fillings inside and 7 pieces for $8 was a real rip off, owner’s kid running around in the restaurant following the mum who was busy serving the guests destroyed the whole mood, almost every curry on the thali was cold, samosa chole smelt off- we left more than half uneaten, rice was old and reheated and had dry chunks in it, nothing tasted fresh at all, no hand soap no paper towels in the toilets-not at all-absolutely empty in all toilets, a smelly baby change table with dirty towels was tucked in the corner of the accessible toilet apparently to change the nappies for the kid who was running around outside, if mum wants to work in the restaurant put him in a childcare would you, after all you are making so much money ripping off customers. Felt sick and like vomiting after, could not eat anything else all day. Overly priced, terrible food, terrible experience! Do not get fooled by the fancy furniture as that is the only good thing about this restaurant. Please avoid at any cost. Complete waste of money and time!!

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Liverpool and certainly the one I have visited the most.Few Indian restaurants are jacks of all trades. Hemani seems to specialise in north Indian style meat curries. Their lamb and goat dishes are decent. Butter chicken also very good. I also don’t mind the non-veg thali, which is very filling and a cheap lunch option. The onion bhaji/pakora with tamarind sauce is worth a try if you want a big entree.Apparently they are relocating across the road soon. I look forward to sampling the new setup. The waitresses are generally quite friendly and quickly memorise the orders of regulars. The seating, while ornate-ish, becomes uncomfortable for the back after awhile.

A value for money restaurant!!Ambience of this place was okayish. The lady who took our order did her job very well. Customized the order to our needs. We had thaali at this place which consisted of 3 curries, nan, rice, sweet, salad all for just $15.The butter chicken was prepared extremely well. I would say better than the one I have had in India. The same goes with the nan. Soft and fresh.Overall the experience was pretty good. The service took a bit more time but I would love to visit this place again and recommend people to definitely try their thaalis.

Hemani is actually one of the most authentic Indian restaurant’s in Liverpool. I have actually eaten here several times in the 4 years that I have lived at Liverpool. I would not advise on trying the south Indian food here. The meat and fish curries are really good. My favorite is the chole batura.Keep in mind the curries can be hot. Not a big fan of the thalis here. Also feel they add quite a bit of food colouring to the food. Overall good Indian food bit tacky in the decor and music.
