Had lunch here with my 18month old daughter today. The owner was amazing. I had promised my daughter pasta, although I did not realise it wasn’t offered on the menu. Unfortunately he did not have any dry pasta in the kitchen however was more than happy to use penne pasta that I had bought from the supermarket. He went out of his way to cook a Napolitano pasta for her, and did not charge a cent to do this. I also ordered a burger with sweet potatoe Crisps and the quality of our food was unreal. Thank you so much guys!
Food court style, dine in prices I admit I’m not a big fan of self-serve style cafes; having to order at the counter and pay then taking a number takes away from the experience before the plate even arrives. This is especially the case when you’re paying restaurant prices. I was disappointed with the service or lack there of. Waiters looked like they couldn’t wait to leave. None offered water. I ordered a salad which was nothing like described in the menu. When you read roasted pumpkin you expect, naturally, warm roasted pumpkin. I received cold boiled pumpkin. Did not taste maple roasted at all. Cheese was described as Greek fetta. I received a very soft, strong tasting cheese I suspect is goats cheese. Not impressed considering my salad cost $24! The only positive I can say is the chicken was nice. I’ve enjoyed cheaper, nicer salads with water views. The person I dined with ordered what was described, as hot sweet potato chips. They were served like warm potato crisps. Wasn’t asked how our meals were when plates were cleared. Overall unimpressed is putting it nicely. What a shame! So much potential but lost in execution.
A cafe/grocery store located outside Coles that offers dairy good coffee and all day breakfast. I tried the almond, coconut and banana granola with coconut yogurt and skim milk. This was quiet nice and filling and I struggled to finish it! I would like to come back for the pumpkin pancakes which sounds interesting!!
Went with my parents to try this cafe since so close to my house, and overall it was a very average experience. Not much to say in terms of service, but the staff was very accommodating with suggesting their recommendations to us. Quite a bustling part of Macq Centre, it’s generally attended by busy families on a Saturday who are stopping for a coffee break before their grocery shopping.Ordered the open omelette with smoked ham (for $18ish) to share with my mum, and honestly, it was a decent dish, but the price did not justify the higher price. The serving size was quite average. The presentation was not the most stellar for the price paid, and the ham was a little too salty for my liking. However, the cappuccino was fine and no issues there!I think there are areas with presentation and price that can be improved in this cafe to be a little more accommodating to your typical average family households doing their shopping on a Saturday and wanting a break! Inlakesh shows promise, but hoping they’ll continue to improve! 🙂
Clean, healthy and gluten free, diary free food for all dietary types. Great service, friendly staff. Reasonable prices for meals. Seating is relaxed and has plenty of room for groups or if you feel like sitting alone on a stool.
There is only one word to describe my breakfast experience here…. Disaster! I have not had such a disappointing meal for some time, it was bad to the point that I didn’t finished my food, not because I was full, but it was just so unpleasant & unappealing. I ordered the smoked ocean trout & zucchini fritters, normally this would be a fairly safe order, what could go wrong? Well a lot in this case. Aside from the fact that it doesn’t look appetising, the alfalfa on top looked sad & bland sitting on top of the pile, the avocado salad tasted odd & not so fresh, the egg salad was terrible, it looked like something you might feed a baby, mashed up eggs mixed with bits of dill, gherkins & onions. Then the zucchini fritter was stuck under this pile & got all soggy & mushy by the time you get to it! The coffee was over priced too, $4 for a skim cap that was half what u normally get for that price. Food took ages too. The only positive thing was that some of the staff were friendly. Will not be back!
Average at best overall, some nice food but they are cheapskates with portion sizes on toast, only give 1 small butter with it so have to ask for more, then they don’t bring it so you have to chase it, babycinos are just milk and froth but they still charge for it and put it in an espresso take away cup so it falls over too easy, and overall overpriced because it it’s trying to be fancy. When it opened was quite good service and portions but they have dropped a lot since, silly move on their part
