I was tired after a long flight from SG to SYD, was hungry and wanted to crash on bed asap. I found this place just opposite to my hotel, so decided to go there and quickly grab something to eat. Without thinking too much, I requested a Falafel and a Kebab for take away. Both of them were tasty and enough to make me full. Staff was cold but I don’t care unless I plan to sit there and eat. If you like Kebab and Falafel, do visit this place. I paid 19 bucks for both the items which I think is a bit on the higher side.
We had to feed a few hungry workers on a weekend but didn’t want to get Dominos so we tried Kismet instead. Ordered a few pizzas and Pides and were quite happy with the quality, not mind blowing but better than Dominos. The Pides were a bit unusual as I was expecting the ingredients to be stuffed inside but these ones were just put on as a topping like a pizza. The store itself is quite clean with tables to sit down. yumspot.net
Your typical kebab store. Theyre cheap and they pack in a lot of meat for your buck. But if you prefer a bit of a balance, i.e. not overflowing with meat, its probably not for you. Nothing that special or mindblowing here, but they are good sized kebabs so also easy to eat.
The pizzas and pides are good at Kismet Cafe, but not spectacular. They could do with more meat in the toppings. However not a bad option if you’re in the area and after some Turkish.
Hi, I’ve been there twice as I work nearby. First time the person who took my order (appeared to be the owner) was quite rude and just generally impolite. Prices are higher than any other kebab shop I’ve been to. Food was below average but had a decent amount of ingredients. There was one point where they called my number, I went up to collect my food, then they treated me like I was an idiot for coming when my number was called, even though the entire order wasn’t ready yet. tip: don’t call the number if you don’t want someone to come up…I went back there today and the same staff member was overly rude again and wasn’t even paying attention when taking my order, she was mid conversation with another customer while offering to take my order and was talking over the top of me. the food this time was far below standard. the meat (got mix kebab) was dry and fairly tasteless, there was barely any other ingredients on it eg cheese and lettuce. I ate it because it was expensive and I didn’t have time to go elsewhere. If you have a weak stomach maybe skip this bit. I’m now sitting here under 2hours later, regurgitating several little shards of bones and a large amount of fat and gristle from on the meat. If it was just the food that was bad I wouldn’t have left a bad review but overall this was a bad experience for me. Price: $10 a kebab, notably more than any other kebab shop I’ve been toCustomer Service: rude and inconsiderateAmbience: tables were fairly small and the walls, decorations etc were all fairly bland. If you were to go here, you probably wouldn’t want to stick around after your meal.
