This Japanese pastry reminds me like an apple pie flavour cream custard or you can say cream ptissire, just another Japanese style Dessert adopting from classic recipes with modern twist!Cost you $4.50 each, its a good pastry to satisfying your sugar craving after lunch!

Pafu is a well known for their French version of an apple turnover with a Japanese twist. One piece is $4.50 and you can buy a box if desired. The line and service is quick so you dont have to wait for long. This dessert is best eaten warm. When you bite in, the custard oozes out instantly. The apple filling does compliment the custard filling. The pastry is coated in a sweet sugar syrup. It is a nice treat!

Small little stall in Macquarie centre dedicated to Japanese apple custard pastry. I thought it would have tasted more like apple pie, but as soon as you bite into the pastry, the custard oozes out! There is probably like one table spoon of sweetened apple pieces inside to be honest. The pastry is filled more with custard. The pastry was warm and fresh! It is a little more on the expensive side for a piece, $4.50 per peach. But it is definitely worth a try if youre a huge custard fan. The custard taste isnt strong, but a very subtle one.

Another 1 trick pony, these concept might work overseas with big populations & traffic, but might be hard to sustain in Australia. The product was nice, essentially a custard & apple pastry. Homey & tasty when eaten warm. Nice treat, but plenty of other bakery does nice apple pastry too.

Rates 3.75/5. Time will tell if pafu will live on after the 1st or 2nd wave of sticky beaks. This in no way a discouragement or slight to pafu because its apple pie is on point, delicate, well balanced, just the right ratio of apple pieces n custard, pastry just the right flake, powdered just so. Interesting choice to plonk its flagship at macq cent.

Nothing special and pretty pricey for an ordinary custard filled puff. It tasted good since its served warm but its nothing thats worth raving about

Needed a snack whilst shopping in Macquarie Centre, this seemed like the perfect outlet as have tried their Apple Puff before from one of their Apple outlets and enjoyed it. The nice lady took my order of the puff and also got a Matcha Latte as well. A short wait later both were ready. The latte was nice. The apple and custard in the puff was delicious.
