  A friend keeps telling me that King Bills has great food. i make a booking to try this cool looking place.The Menu is short with some great star dishes thats if they can be cooked correctly.As i sat down i noticed that there was no salt and pepper on the table and only one place of cutlery. we placed our order.King Bills bread with the lot.Starters.Pork Belly Wild Mushrooms Mains.Ribs and rumpRolled chicken thighWhen i was presented the Pork it lacked any or all flavour very spongy in texture, with the lack of seasoning and the lack of salt and pepper on the table made this dish inedible, as the dish was taken from the table i explained my concerns for the dish and the fact that if unseasoned food was server that Kink Bills needs to give the option of salt and pepper for people to season at the table (This a a Chef that thinks there food is to good for seasoning). These comments sent the entire floor staff into panic mood (Not my intention) and now I’m just being annoyed by the complete floor like King Bills has never had a complaint. The mains were in time to the table presentation of the Ribs and Rump was very unappealing the Ribs looked like the bones at the end of a sock pot not the half rack that was promised on the menu. steak was cooked correctly.The chicken thigh THIGH printed boldly on the menu there was plenty of breast on the plate cooked as if it was thigh this dish would have been a winner if the kitchen staff would read the menu and serve the correct cuts of meat.On paying the bill Management was on the defence and was extremely antagonistic and arguing that King Bills is far better than any other Pub or Club in the Maitland area , funny that i dine out in Maitland three times a week and can ensure that there are many places in town that produce a far better quality product that matches the menu prices.My conclusion was disappointing at least the price on the menu do not reflect on the quality of the food on the plate, the mood of the place changing when the point was made that the Pork was inedible, the constant IS EVERY THING OK offers of free drinks and sweets, King Bills can not take constructive criticism and get on the defensive rather than take it on board.

  King bill IV has a modern pop-art feel about the atmosphere and has spared no expense in relation to the restaurants theme. They serve big meals, and have a large and interesting menu.I would rate the taste of the food 3.5/5 and presentation the same 3.5/5. – The service is friendly. – usually not a long wait for meals after ordering.- I have been told that they make great cocktails!

• Sir And M'lady Dine Out

  This place has fast become the most popular and happening joint inb Maitland. It’s a big place that stretches back quite a long way. They have great food with plenty of choices and it comes in big servings as well. Drinks are the usual wide range you’d expect. They also have liove music – including some acts that travel from Sydney. Greta place that’s lots of fun and you’ll leave very satisfied!
