Food on the menu matched my expectations for a german bakery, but the food served was below par. We tried to order and as we were ordering there was one guy serving someone else and the person trying to take our order really struggled understanding what we were asking for and confused quiet a few things and had to ask his boss for help multiple times figuring out how to work the register and menu items. My group had a leberkase, speghetti ice, a coffee, a smoothie, and a pretzel. The spaghetti ice came out first 2 minutes later, with slight inconsistencies from traditional german receipies but whatever. The coffee came out next along with a latte we didn’t buy, we sent it back and the owner gave us the money that the person who took our order charged us. The leberkase was awful, very thin, over cooked on bread that I would not expect from mcdonalds much less from a bakery. After 10 more minutes we had to prompt them that we didn’t have our pretzel or smoothie. They had forgotten it. Overall would not return.

My German side of the family would be happy with this find. Superb quiet and friendly cafe near the beach, a nice secret spot to enjoy a fresh pastry and read the paper away from the crowds. Good find.
