Wow! This cafe was extremely busy on a Sunday mid afternoon. There was a lot of seating which meant you could choose where you wanted to sit- inside, out the back or out the front. We opted for out the front near the heaters with a lovely view of the markets I enjoyed the range of smoothieS, juices and the other cold drinks as well as the hot drinks.now, you are probably wondering why I rated this place so low. 2.5 is more accurate. The food… was not good. I left 80 percent of it and so did my partner. I had the Tuscany eggs which taste combo I didnt enjoy at all. I was very hungry but still couldnt manage. The burger my partner had was not hot and the buns werent toasted which made the buns chewy and not nice. There was a wait for the food, but I commend the cafe on displaying a sign saying 30 min wait as Its good to know upfront and not be left in the dark whilst waiting. The prices for the light breakfast were really awesome however the other menu items including what I ordered were really expensive. As it was a Sunday, t was even more expensive with the 10 percent surcharge which made the food crazy expensive.I wouldnt be back here at all or at least to try the aai bowls but then again there are a lot of cafes that serve them.Really disappointed with the place and would rather go somewhere wth a better view and better view for the price.

There’s no shortage of smoothie options with a front counter brimming with fresh fruit and veg. We had the breakfast classic – banana smoothie (banana, honey and ice cream) and Pina Colada, a non alcoholic concoction of pineapple juice, coconut milk, banana and passionfruit yoghurt. Both were very nice. The ice cream is a bargain at $2.50 a scoop.

Went to Ground Zero on a Sunday morning, it wasn’t overly busy and we got a table quite quick. The coffee was good, food as well although not outstanding. Can work a bit more on the presentation. Service was ok.

Smoothies here are outstanding. Fresh, healthy, delicious, not too pricey. Haven’t had anything else on the menu but I always go after some morning exercise! Only downside is that it doesn’t open until 8am.

Poor quality food. The pumpkin salad was a small plate of randomly mixed greens with 10 puny pieces of pumpkin. Definitely not worth $15. There is a similar salad at In Situ next door which is significantly better.

This cafe is my pick for breakfast in Manly, and does a good lunch spread too. I don’t rate the cafes on the beachfront, they are highly overrated and snooty.Ground Zero has a great breakfast menu, my favourite is the mushroom and avocado on toast. They also do good eggs, museli, baked beans, bacon etc etcI recommend trying one of the Acai smoothies, my favourite is Energiser.Tips: 1. A seat out the front on the street is best but if full try the back. 2. You need to go up to the counter to order3. Ground Zero changes into a different venue at night and becomes a Mexican/Tapas/Tequila bar with a different name. I have yet to scope it out but I’m keen to.04 Jun, 2013Good food n great coffee ,smoothies
