I was so excited that Sak was opening in Manly that I decided to create a Facebook event and have a girls night dinner! Ambience 10/10 We were seated in a cute booth near the entrance.Service 10/10 Our waitress with the Canadian/American accent amazing Cocktails 9/10Highly recommend the Good Time Geisha Food 5/10Edamame is always a hit but the portion size was quite poor! Felt the sashimi platter wasnt as fresh as it should have been. Maybe serving it colder would help. The new style sashimi dish was divine in flavour! Hiramasa Kingfish was nice but average. Popcorn shrimp was not very good at all, had a terrible off fishy taste to it. I went back 4 weeks later and was still terrible. Bug Tail tempura was not very good either, didnt taste too fresh. The grass fed beef tartare and the sizzling rangers valley wagyu sirloin dish were AMAZING! The spider maki roll and shrimp tempura roll was delicious. The half chicken was pretty tender and delicious. Dessert 10/10 We ordered 4 different desserts and may I say they were ALL AMAZING! My favourite was the coco loco dish with the yuzu granita the Dragon Egg had the most amazing butterscotch sauce I have tasted in my life! We had a coffee ice cream and a berry one too which were both yum!Great place to visit, mainly for dessert and ambience.

Irashaimasu Sake NO. 6! Sake has just opened at Manly Wharf in a prized site overhanging Sydney Harbour! It’s upstairs above the Manly Wharf bar in the heart of the action and lucky for me I visited on a perfect Sydney Sunday afternoon just before sunset! After dining in three other Sake restaurants – The Rocks, Double Bay and Flinders Lane, I must say the designers/architects have knocked it out of the park with this stunning restaurant! Enter from the wharf side for the full visual impact. The space is vast with so many options of where to sit; inside or out, at the sushi bar or the cocktail bar, next to the zen garden, a booth, a private room. You could dine here ten times and sit somewhere and have a totally different experience each time. Oh, there’s a good idea! Started with a gorgeous Geisha Good Times from their signature cocktail list! Delicious! Following this ordered a myriad of Sake favourites to get the party started. Sashimi cones, edamame, shrimp tempura roll, spider maki, bug tail tempura and chicken karage were all excellent choices! With summer and pre Xmas functions just around the corner, I can only imagine staff will need to be fully prepared for the hordes of excited diners ready to rush in!
