Very disappointing given the potential with such a great view. We paid $22 for a salad which was a bowl of shredded cabbage with no flavour. We have visited bower cafe quite a few times over the years and were very disappointed to see the standard has dropped so low.
In search for some tranquility to destress on the weekend? Then look no further. The bower recently underwent an extensive renovation after being hit strongly by the flooding of Manly last year and the result is simply jaw dropping. A stunning interior that reminds of the most instagrammable restaurants in Melbourne and a menu that depicts utter confidence. Simple food and coffee made so well that you don’t need anything else. Topped off with fantastic service and you have the combo that has to give this a 5 out of 5! Highly recommend the wagyu panini and the salmon salad bowl along with a great cuppa of a negroni for those in need of something stronger! Seb
It’s difficult to fault the location, and you probably pay a bit of a premium for that. But the food at The Bower is good, and the coffee is even better. Staff manage to keep it all together, despite a constant stream of take-sways and sit-downs pouring through the door. Service is brisk and patient
Incredible view of surfers and Stand up paddle boarders from every seat. The menu is fantastic, but the service can vary and the path can get busy next to it.
Disappointed. Made a reservation for lunch and when we arrived were seated on a table right at the front in full sun so asked if we could move but were told there were any tables available. Ok no problem. However as we were seated right near the concierge we watched several people walk up with no reservation who were seated at tables which were on the area we requested ie inside!! Our food was good except for the chips which were so full of oil I wanted to wring them out. We don’t eat out much so when we do and we pay above average prices we expect something special. Sorry guys guess you rely on tourists who won’t be returning anyway.
Great view chilled out place. Shame about value. Lovely chilled out place. Reasonably priced drinks. Summer offers after 3pm not available even though its feb. The seafood platter was a disappointment with only 3 different seafood options at $22. left feeling hungry.
Nice View / Let down on value and prices. Went there for lunch last weekend. Can be quite busy to get a decent table outside. Tried the seafood sampler and was let down on value. The scenery and view really make this place special, however, the portion sizes and menu options were not up to scratch. $25 burger doesn’t make sense. Recommend there are plenty of other options down on manly beach front.
