This place is pretty good. Seafood baskets are huge and steaks are usually cooked well. The peppercorn sauce I had last time resembled something like a barbecue sauce for ribs, so I just left it, but would have spoilt the meal if Id put it over the steak without checking. Worth it if using one of the special deals.

Ive been here so many times, especially after it got the 19$ friday. Many seating area and offers a wide range of beer. The food is your standard pub grub, but they do a good parmi and good pizzas. Just be mindful that they do make a smaller portion for Fridays (at least thats what we think). Their seafood basket and fish and chips are also not the best. Try the chorizo and prawn pizza. Its pretty good.

The Ivanhoe is a reliable place to meet up with a group of friends. My husband and I came here for a drink and some dinner on Christmas Eve after our flight from New Zealand. We had the king prawn spaghettini with house made Napolitana sauce and the house made crispy lid pot pie. Both were your typical pub fare. This is a big place and you will eventually find your favourite spot to dine and favourite items on the menu.Service is friendly.

Good spot for lunch on the Corso in Manly. We came and tried the Grilled Chicken Salad and the Beer Battered Fish and chip. Plenty of beers on tap to pick from and reasonably priced. Great Sydney Rock Oysters as well.

We went to the takeaway at ivanhoe. I had fish n chips which was snapper. The fish was broken up and it tasted a bit rubbery, the chips were nicely cooked. My husband had the seafood box. Which had fish, 2 prawns, 4 crab-meat and chips. He really enjoyed it. Sitting at the bay window. The young guy that served us, wasn’t really friendly but he was polite

This place has come on leaps and bounds since its renovations. I wouldn’t have a lovers date here, but the perfect place to share a drink and quality pub food with friends or family.

When my friend and his colleagues went to the Ivanhoe Hotel Manly, there were two security guards, one for the over 20s line and one for the under 20s line. As they were all wellover 20, my friend and his colleagues lined up for the over 20s line. The bouncer checked my friends drivers licence (whichproved that he was 25), but singled him out of his group and wouldnt acceptthis as adequate proof of age. My friend asked if he would like to see hiscredit card, and the bouncer demanded to see his Facebook. My friend compliesand shows him his Facebook, but then the bouncer requests to see his creditcard. After seeing my friends platinum credit card, the bouncer finally letshim in.1. How is Facebook a legitimate form of ID?2. As a security guard, you only have the right torequest for a drivers licence, passport or a photo card. You have no right torequest for someones Facebook or credit card. Besides, what if someone didnthave any of those two?3. If a security guard suspects that a licence isfake, this is a matter for the police, not for the club/bar. Yourresponsibility is to check for ID. As long as you have completed your duty, itis not your problem if it is fake. You can call the police to verify if youwish. As per the Liquor Act 2007 NSW,a minor with a fake licence would be responsible and charged for this, not theclub/bar. This bouncers requests did not make sense and were not reasonable. We were all shocked by this treatment of this bouncer towards my friend, and wehope that this has nothing to do with the fact that he was the only Asian outof his group. My friend has been to The Ivanhoe many times before, andhas never experienced this. In fact for the last 5 years, he has rarely beenasked for ID, let alone have a security guard question the validity of hislicence. We can understand that it is a mandatory responsibility of securityguards to check IDs, but we cannot accept the unjust and unreasonable treatmentexhibited towards my friend.
