Yok Thai has to be the best Thai restaurant here in Manly, it has some traditional thai dish, but uniquely they also serve thai style small bites. Have been here twice and has not been disappointed. We got the Tuna Tataki and grilled octopus as entree.For mains to share, we had Scallop curry, chilli jam stir fry vegetables, prawn salad and whole fried Barramundi. The entrees were both fresh and zingy. The prawn salad was average. The barramundi was the most impressive, it was fried whole and cut up nicely so it wasn’t a mess to eat. The curries and stir fries were very flavourful, perfect with rice.Nice outdoor seating and prompt service.
Yok Thai is a restaurant that celebrates Thai Inspired Tapas! Got the last table outside on a busy Saturday autumn evening, next to the much needed heater! Big fans of Yok Thai, Neutral Bay so was interested to see what the Manly restaurant is like! The menu is identical but there was just not the same attention to detail as the NB restaurant. Started with a dozen oysters w lime, chilli, nham jim & crispy shallot. Tasty but not served chilled on a bed of crushed ice as NB. Followed this with delicious, crispy crystal prawn (spring roll pastry, prawn, minced chicken), and then onto two mains: grilled king prawns and a very flavoursome red Hiramasa Kingfish curry (w red curry sauce, shaved coconut wild ginger, sweet basil and kaffir lime leaves). Enjoyed the food but the service needs considering as we had to wave hands about in order to get attention. Still…. would definitely return!
Lovely staff and service. Menu is quite expensive comparative of other Thais, but in an atmospheric location in the summer when outdoor seating is available.

Staff very accommodating, very busy, but very attentive. Entrees were just okay, but mains were great. Would definitely try again.
Yok Thai is an absolute winner. We dined there on Friday 1 August 2014 and had the Cristal Prawns as an entre – even ended up ordering a third portion because they’re so good – then the Red Curry Tofu plus the Choo Chee Curry Tofu. What a tasty, fragrant and fantastic sauce in both curries! Have eaten a few Thai curries, many in Thailand and these ones at Yok Thai were definitely just as good, if not way better than many. Thoroughly recommended place to eat … and the staff are lovely. I would go again in half a heartbeat 🙂
Tasty Thai. Very tasty. Would recommend if in Manly as Takeaway.Particularly the Green Curry chicken and Wagyu Pepper Beef.
